So very sorry. Clint Clint was a fine man. I’m sure he is with his Savior now. I’m rating for the family. 💔
I had the pleasure of working for Clint over the past nine years. Because of his HR background, Clint saw things from a different perspective than most. When I was about to enter a tough situation, I would always seek advice from the people person, Clint.
Clint was able to help guide me through a very rough time with family matters. I needed his advice and he was always there for me.
What I will miss the most is the greeting I got when Clint called. I would answer, as usual, with just my name. Clint’s response was, “What’s goin’ on?’
Clint will be missed both professionally and personally.
Rick and I are broken-hearted to learn of Clinton’s passing. Praying that God holds your family in His arms and gives you comfort and peace through this terrible thing. He is able! We love you so much!
Some men you just instantly know you will like from the first handshake. Clint was that kind of man. It’s hard to believe I’ll never shake his hand again and I will miss that for a long time to come.
My heart goes out to his family, Sarah, and the girls.
He and his family were members at Plantation Baptist Church in Plantation Acres Florida where I knew him many years ago. I could see how sweet he was with his girls. His family will be in our prayers during this time.🙏
I have known the Ooten family my whole life. We all grew up in East End, Please know we are praying for you all. Mom sends her love and prayers too.

Scott & Rhonda Walls and Family
Hi Scott – it was so good to see this from you. Just this morning, we were remembering you and Clinton’s old East End class gang. Thank you for the kind words. I hope you and your family are doing well.
Sending my sincere condolences to the Ooten family for your loss. I had the great pleasure of working with Clint at Bluewater for about 8 years. Clint had such an amazing laugh! He always arrived with his big smile, a joke or a hug. I’m so sad for you and sorry such a wonderful person is gone. Godspeed on his glorious journey to heaven!
I am deeply saddened to learn about the passing of our friend, Clint. Please accept my sincerest condolences during this incredibly difficult time. Losing someone we care about is never easy, and my heart goes out to you and Clint’s family.
Clint was not only loved by his family but also a cherished individual in many lives. His warm spirit, infectious laughter, and genuine kindness touched the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him. His loss will be felt deeply by all who had the privilege of sharing moments of joy and companionship with him. Clint and I were part of a group of friends at WVU that were inseparable. We studied, played, and spent most of our time with each other at some point. He was the most kind and generous spirit. He was a big football player and I was a science nerd but he saw through all that stuff and saw the person at their core. I am sure that why he did so well at HR and his career in general.
Thinking of all the wonderful stories Sharon told me about your Clint . Please know you are in my prayers . Love to all the Ooten family

Thank you Cindy for your love and prayers. With wishes such as yours it encourages us to keep keeping on. This is the worst pain I have ever endured in all of my 81 years of life but I do not doubt Our God’s love for us and He will never put on us more that we can bear and I know He will be with us through all of this.
Rest in Peace my dear friend. I just found out yesterday evening of my old buddy’s passing and I’m heartbroken. Clinton and I went to school together, played ball together and worked together. We actually became best of friends after high school and during our college and early adult years. I am just devastated about it. I pray God’s blessings upon the entire Ooten family and his daughters and am so sorry. I’ll see you again Brother in a place where there is no more sorrow and no more pain! Love you Brother.

To my brother/pastor in the Lord, I am truly lost for words. I have struggled over the past few days with you and your family on my mind. The friendship we had and all the good memories we all shared at SIBC. Watching your children grow and teaching them in Sunday School and the Halloween parties, the church dinners, horseshoe games. It’s like losing one of my own, I love you and Mildred and praying that God will give you the comfort to help you through these trying days. Your friend/brother in Christ,Wallace VanHoose.
Mildred, I have been trying for several days to be able to say the right things about Clint. Every time I started to write something,, I would start crying. He was not only my boss at Sidney Coal, but he was a great friend. He was wise beyond years. His smile, that big laugh, I could just go on. But, you already know this. I have been thinking about you and the family. He loved you guys so much. Just remember, I am sending all my love and prayers for you and the family.. My heart goes out to his girls also.
Thank you Fran for your condolences. Yes you did know him because you described his beautiful smile and his laughter perfectly. I loved him very much and no words can express how greatly he will be missed. I do thank God for letting me have him for at least 52 years, wish it could have been more but God knows best. I will cherish the years that I did have him. I will see My Son again and that will be glorious and forever. Thank you again for your thoughtfulness.
So saddened to learn of Clint’s passing, I worked with Clint at GE. Blessed to know him and proud to call my him friend. He was always there to help me out when I needed him. Thank you Patti for your rememberance of my Clint. He was dear and precious to our family. He will always be a beautiful memory to us but it is still very hard on us with what has happened…..if it were not for God:’s love, mercy and grace we would not get through this because we loved him so much. Thank you for your kind words.

Our deepest sympathy and prayers go out to the Ooten family. I had the pleasure of working with Clint at
General Electric in Morristown, TN, while he was serving as our Human Resources Manager. Such a bright and talented friend he was. His pleasant demeanor and outgoing personality made him a joy to be around at work. My wife and I will always treasure the time we spent with Clint during his stay Morristown.
May God Bless the Ooten Family and give them strength. ~Carroll & Cindi Blazer~
