Charles Michael “Mike” Craven

Mike Craven, 79, of Greenville, died on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

Born in 1946 in Newberry, he was the son of the late Charles Craven and Mary Jean Gayle. He was preceded in death by his wife, Teri Pierce Craven.

He received his BA and MBA from Clemson University and was of the Lutheran faith. He worked as a consultant in the construction industry for many years and as a building official for the city of Simpsonville. He served our country as an Infantry Lieutenant in the US Army. His greatest interest was rugby; he played for Greenville, Clemson University, and several Select Sides.

Mr. Craven is survived by two sons, Clark Ryan Craven and his wife Teresa of Washington, and James Stone Craven and his wife, Julia of Greenville; two grandchildren, Jaak Aho of Washington and Jackson Craven of Greenville; his beloved Jane Wilson and her four grandsons, Max, Abney, Crews, and Jude who called him “Faux Pa.”

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Patrick Stone Craven.

In accordance with Mr. Craven’s wishes there will be no service.
