Charles Handler Kraft
Charles Handler Kraft, 68, of Simpsonville, husband of Nancy Parke Kraft, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 2, 2023. Born in Pontiac, MI, he was a son of the late Jacob and Esta Handler Kraft.
Charlie grew up spending time at Camp Tamakwa and became an expert canoeist and touched many lives there. He was also a motorcycle enthusiast.
In addition to his wife, Charlie is survived by two daughters, Jenna Shuman and her husband, Nick, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Emily Lynch and her husband, Joe of Commerce Township, MI; three grandchildren Jackson and Evan Day and Cora Shuman; and the mother of his daughters, Debi Kraft of Wolverine Lake, MI. Charlie was also a wonderful stepfather and is survived by Nancy’s sons, Jacob and Stuart Agranove.
A drop-in visitation will be held at the home of Nancy Kraft on Sunday, December 17. 2023 between the hours of 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
A Memorial Service will be held in Michigan over the weekend of January 12-15, 2024. Location, time, and date will be posted when finalized.
I was lucky enough to work with Charlie for a few years at United Road, I valued his hard work and guidance and he has been missed over these last couple years. My heart goes out to his family, he was a great guy and someone you could count on.

Charley was a great guy, loved talking with him on a number of topics, sorry for the loss of a wonderful gentleman.
Was shocked and saddened to hear that Charlie passed. I unfortunately had not spoken to him for about six months prior to his passing. I offer my condolences to his family. Charlie was one of a kind, a good soul.
I’ll never forget his contributions to a clean bathroom at United Road.
