Marshall Taylor Park

Marshall Taylor Park, 17, of Greenville, died January 28, 2014 as a result of injuries sustained in a single motor vehicle accident. He was born February 8, 1996 in Columbus, Ohio.

Marshall was preparing for graduation from J.L. Mann High School in 2014. He was a member of the wrestling team and an avid practitioner of Tae Kwon Do, studying with Grand Master Huggins. He achieved his second-degree black belt rank in 2013. Marshall faithfully attended New Hope Presbyterian Church.

Marshall is survived by his mother Kumyong and step-father Kevin of Greenville. He leaves behind two loving brothers; Ben, the eldest, lives in Columbus, Ohio and Mike and wife Janet reside in Dallas, Texas. His dearest uncles and aunts are Philip and Kumok Ra of Cleveland, Ohio; James Ra from Brooklyn, New York; and James and Mia Kivlighan of Staunton, Virginia. Cousins grieving the loss are Brandon, Peter, Megan, and Erin Ra; Cyrus and Vivian Ra, Isa, Hanna and Jimmy Kivlighan.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Heritage Funeral Home, 313 North Main Street in Simpsonville. Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest following the service at Graceland East Memorial Park, 2206 Woodruff Road in Simpsonville.
