William E. “Bill” Blackwell
William E. “Bill” Blackwell, age 67, husband of Carolyn Clayton Blackwell, of 744 Chapman Road, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at his home.
Born in Tryon, NC, he was a son of the late Paul and Betty Jo Atkins Blackwell. He was a retired mechanic with Gill Drilling.
In addition to his wife of 43 years, Mr. Blackwell is survived by a son, William E. Blackwell, Jr.; a brother, Steve Blackwell; and two sisters, Ann Gill and Charlotte LaFoy. He was predeceased by a brother, Leon Blackwell.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 1150 North Main Street, Fountain Inn. Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 11:00 am at Cannon Memorial Park.
