Our Services

Traditional, graveside, cremation and memorial services — guided with care

How We Serve

Meaningful Tributes for Every Family

We provide many funeral options — including traditional, graveside, cremation and memorial services — so that every family can plan a tribute that is meaningful and appropriate for them.

Funeral and memorial services make a significant difference in how families channel their grief toward health and healing. During a funeral, the community comes together and responds to the reality that those remaining will need compassion, love, understanding, and support. A service encourages us to reflect on a person’s life and the ways in which they touched the lives of others. That reflection is an important part of grief and mourning, and it creates a memorable experience for everyone. Together, close friends and relatives can lend support and consolation when it is needed most.

When considering final arrangements for yourself or a loved one, one of the first decisions you may make is whether you prefer burial or cremation. This decision influences many other considerations.

Our responsibility is to explain the options available to you and to answer any questions you may have while making arrangements.

What We Offer

Service Options

Traditional Funeral

A full service with visitation, a formal ceremony, and burial — bringing family and community together to honor a life.

Graveside Service

A simpler gathering held at the cemetery, focused on the committal and final farewell among those closest to you.

Cremation

Cremation service is provided with our onsite crematory. Flexible options that can include a service before or after, with a wide selection of urns and interment choices.

Memorial Service

A celebration of life held without the body present, offering freedom in timing, place, and personal touches.

Grief Support

You Are Not Alone

The grief associated with the loss of a loved one does not disappear when the service is over and the guests have left. Mourning is a process that is unique to every individual.

We have a number of resources we can share, including referrals to experienced counselors who are prepared to help you and your loved ones as you deal with your loss. Please let us know how we can help.

Frequently Asked Questions

If I make pre-need arrangements and we move at a later date, what are my options?

Pre-need funeral arrangements are transferable from one funeral home to another, and the transfer can be done in advance or at the time of need. It is a simple task that typically requires only one form and a signature. The transfer can be handled by you in advance, or by the family member making arrangements at the time of need.

What happens if my loved one passes while in a facility such as a nursing home or hospice house?

Let the facility staff know that you would like to use Cannon-Byrd, and upon your request they will contact us — Fountain Inn (864) 862-9298 or Simpsonville (864) 757-1771.

If the passing occurs at home and your loved one is under hospice care, the hospice nurse will notify us. If hospice is not involved, you will need to call 911, and the first responders will contact us.

What do I need to bring to the arrangement meeting?

Please bring your loved one’s full name, legal address, date of birth, Social Security number, city and state of birth, and their father’s and mother’s names (including her maiden name). If they served in the armed forces, please also bring their military discharge papers (DD-214).

What are the payment options, and when is payment expected?

We accept checks, credit and debit cards, cash, valid insurance assignment, and all pre-need contracts. Your plan for payment of services rendered should be discussed and agreed upon during the arrangement conference. If you have any other questions, please call us or reach out through our Contact page.
