Thomas Palmer Godfrey, 78, of Easley, SC, husband of Pansy Godfrey, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Born in Laurens, SC, he was a son of late Belton and Ruby Leroy Godfrey.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Godfrey is survived by two daughters, Brenda Diane Godfrey (Mike) of Easley and Donna Lynn Hillie (Preston) of North Carolina; five grandchildren, Joshua Andrew (Alyssa), Ashley Sweet (Billy), Thomas Hillie, Gisele Hillie, and Sophie Hillie; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lou Grant, Sue Godfrey, Martha Church, and Kathy Lark; a special nephew, Gene Haynes (Wanda); and a special friend, Vernon Johnson.

In addition to his parent, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Alma Haynes, Brenda Coats, Hazel Pittman, and Jimmy Godfrey.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home- Fountain Inn. A Funeral Service will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow the service at Cannon-Byrd Memorial Park.
