Ted Laurence Reid, 83, of Simpsonville, SC, husband of Mary Lou Reid, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026. Born in Fork Shoals, SC, he was the son of the late William and Zelpha Hughey Reid.
In addition to his wife, Ted is survived by two children, Stephanie Yvonne Guzman (Robbie) and Jonathan L. Reid (Anita); three grandchildren, Christine Davis, Michael L. Reid, and Ted Lee Reid; three siblings, Sandra Young (David), Susan Connelly (David), and Philip Reid (Donna); and his closest cousin, Don Pitts (Bonnie).
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home- Simpsonville; 313 N. Main St, Simpsonville, SC 29681. Interment will follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Ted was a life long friend and one who served his country with pride you all are in my prayers just knowing his life and how much he loved the Lord we know his journey through the seas he sailed has finally found his final port in his heavenly home
