Sara moved with her family to Greenville, South Carolina in the 1970s. She was a hard working woman. She had many jobs with different cotton mills in the area before getting a job in security. She was the 1st woman hired by Henry Harrison at American security where she worked for many years. This led to a job at WW Granger with their in house security where she worked for 16 years before her retirement.

Sara is survived by six children, Jon R. Ford (Monica) of Simpsonville, Charlotte Nold (Thomas) of Simpsonville, Thomas J. Ford (Pilar) of Washington State, James L.
