Sandra Lee Cher, 78, wife of Robert John Cher for 36 years, of Pelzer, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, September 29, 2023.  Born in Lansing, MI, she was the daughter of the late George V. and Ruth M. Knight Wise.

Sandy was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Greenville Ledge 858 and the Benevolent and Patriotic Order of Does, Drove #60.  She was a past First Lady of the South Carolina Elks Association.

In addition to her husband, Sandy is survived by her stepsons, Jeffrey A. Cher (Lori) and Kevin R. Cher (Lindsey), both of Georgia; four grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Steve Cher (Debra), of Ft. Dodge, IA.

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her brother, George E. Wise.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home, Fountain Inn from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, beginning at 11:30 am at Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home, Fountain Inn. Sandy will be laid to rest following the service in the Mausoleum at Greenville Memorial Gardens in Piedmont.
