Robert Henry Davis
Robert Henry Davis, 70, husband of Cynthia Hodge Davis, of Fountain Inn passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023. Born in Anderson, Bob was a son of the late William T. and Lois Dorsey Davis.
Bob was a special education teacher in Oconee County for 28 years. He worked as a camp counselor during the summer for the YMCA. Bob was also an avid Clemson Tiger fan.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by two step-daughters, Virginia Jones (Nick) of Honea Path and Christina Smithson (Mark) of Ucon, OK; four grandchildren, William Deitz, Ryan Deitz, Cycelia Jones, and Charles Jones; two brothers, Bill Davis (Cam) of Dataw Island, SC and Herb Davis (Diane) of Spartanburg; two nephews, Will Davis and Jeff Davis; and a niece, Beth Webb.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home beginning at 3:00 pm. The family will visit with friends following the service.
I just heard of his death, so sorry to hear that. I am a cousin on his father’s side. My mother was Rosalie Davis Moerman. May it rest in peace.

Bobby was such a wonderful teacher who provided kindness, support, and encouragement to his students and fellow educators. I am so grateful to have known and worked with him.
