R. Otis Guthrie
Otis Guthrie, 56, of Fountain Inn, husband of Tammy Guthrie went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, February 22, 2023.
Born in Graham, NC, he was the son of the late Charles & Jerrie Guthrie.
In addition to his wife, Tammy, Otis is survived by his children, Thomas Guthrie, Deanna Roland, Travis Guthrie, Nancy Guthrie, Shawn Guthrie, and many foster children; fourteen grandchildren and one brother, Chris Westbrooks; his adopted parents, Daddy Eddie & Joyce Rouse; a ‘special angel’, Olla Phillips; many nieces & nephews, and his work and racing families.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marie Tarrant; and a sister, Janet Guthrie.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 24, 2023 starting at 2:00 pm at Cannon – Byrd Funeral Home Fountain Inn.
A Funeral Service will follow at 3:30 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Entombment will follow the service in Cannon – Byrd Memorial Park Mausoleum.

I remember Otis and Tammy and Tami’s mom. I saw them quite a bit in Simpsonville. They were always such a good family to have fun with and talk and Otis always has this wonderful sense of humor. Praying for Tammy and the family.
