Phyllis E. Bowman
Phyllis E. Bowman, 74, of Simpsonville, widow of Ben Bowman, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. Born in Hendersonville, NC, she was a daughter of the late A. Odell and Isabelle Camp Prince. Phyllis was a long time member of Standing Springs Baptist Church.
Phyllis is survived by two children, Rolanda Sexton Kelly (Wayne) of Easley and Sean Sexton of Simpsonville; seven grandchildren, John Elrod Jr, Rebecca Sexton, Alisha Kelly, Michael Sexton, James Zanatos, David Zanatos, and Adam Zanatos; three great granddaughters, August “Purrsang” Elrod, Amberalla Sexton, and Mystic Zanatos.
In addition to her husband and parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by four children, Thad Sexton, Geraldine Sexton, Kim Sexton Zanatos, and Cynthia Sexton Wright; and fifteen siblings she joined in Heaven, all together again.
A Graveside Service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 595 Old Liberty Road, Easley, SC 29640 on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Receptions will be held following the service at two locations, one at the home of Phyllis Bowman and the other at the home of Rolanda Kelly. Friends and family are invited to attend the most convenient location.
