Paul was a very good friend of us, Eckhard and Kolli Tetzlaff, Brookfield, Wisconsin. We traveled together now and then, were in steady contact by mail and telephone until the end of April 2023. Our boys Sacha, Marcel and Maurice were fond of uncle Paul, Maurice being Paul’s godchild. All of us are saddened by his passing but at the same time we know that God let him in to ease his pain from cancer. Rest in peace Paulchen, we pray for you and love you.

Paul was a wonderful brother and brother-in-law to Helly and Charlie Wood of Fort Collins, Colorado.

We will fondly remember all the great travels we had with to Russia, Germany, Italy, Central America and 19 other countries. Paul was a superb traveling companion. We will forever remember his wonderful smile and personality.

Paul using his European training and his father’s architect skills built a number of fine houses in Rochester. NY and Fort Collins, Colorado, including the one we now live in. What pride and skills he had in every one of his efforts.

Paul was the most honest, helpful and trusting person we have ever known. What a wonderful world there would be if everyone was like Paul. For sure Paul got as easy pass into heaven.

His sister and brother-in-law will be forever grateful for all that Paul added to our lives. Paul, you will live forever in our hearts.

    Rolf & Nancy Freys

We will miss our dear brother and brother-in-law, Paul. His constant smile and good humor brought joy to everyone who knew him. His talents were extensive—he could build just about anything and was a total perfectionist in his work. We treasure the amazing birdhouses he built for us—he was an artist in every sense of the word. Brother Rolf especially treasures the trip he and Paul made to Germany together a few years back to visit friends and family. But more than anything we treasure his spirit and love. May you rest peacefully until we meet again.

  • Judy, I just came across this obituary and I am so very sorry. Paul was an amazing man, who we loved very much!
