Melvin E. Raines
Melvin Eugene Raines, 69, of Fountain Inn, SC, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026. Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Harold M. and Grace Tucker Raines.
Melvin is survived by his loving partner, Margaret Nichols; three children, Chris Raines, Corey Raines, and Jeana Patterson; eleven grandchildren ; nine great grandchildren; a niece, Sonya Langley; a nephew, Ryan Tate.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Dudley.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home- Simpsonville; 313 N. Main St, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
