Martin Allen Hay, 75, of Simpsonville, SC, husband of Yoconda Hay, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Born in Detroit, MI, he was a son of the late Martin A. and Dorothy L. Hay.
In addition to his wife, Yoki, Martin is survived by his children, Richard (55), Marcus (51); and seven grandchildren, Marcus, Jr. ‘CJ’ (24), Gillian (21), Ainsley (21), Joshua (21), Sarah Elizabeth (19), William (16), and John Gibson (14) and Yoki’s sister Kathy, her brothers, her brother-in-law and her sisters in-laws in Chile and Oklahoma.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Gary and his sister Mary.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 8:30 a.m. at the 1st Baptist Simpsonville-Chapel, 106 Church Street, Simpsonville, SC 29181. A Memorial Service will follow beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Interment will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors in Anderson, SC.

Yoki, our deepest sympathy to you and the boys. You and Allen were our first-ever small group leaders, and your warmth, sincerity and love for the Lord became the measure for what it meant to be a leader.
