Linda Shawhan Kirkland

Linda Shawhan Kirkland, age 78, of Simpsonville, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020.

Born in Racine, WI, She was the daughter of late Osa and Eunice Shawhan. She worked as a secretary at Johnson’s Wax in Racine, Wisconsin as a young lady. Linda also worked at the Bay County School Board in Panama City, Fl as an administrative assistant and worked with her husband Bill for many years as a secretary at their insurance agency. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved gardening and spoiling her grandkids. Linda loved to spend time with friends and family and traveling. Her smile and laughter will truly be missed.

In addition to her loving husband of 58 years, Bill Sr, she is survived by a son, Bill Kirkland, Jr of Lynn Haven, FL; a daughter, June Donner and her husband, Mark, of Bluffton, SC; and four grandchildren, Dylan Dougan, Hunter, Paige & Colton Kirkland; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one grandson, Brandon Dougan; and two brothers, Roger Shawhan and Bruce Shawhan.

A memorial service will be held for Mrs. Kirkland at the Barrancas National Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Rd, Pensacola, FL 32508. The date and time will be announced once those arrangements have been finalized.

    We are saddened to learn of Linda’s passing. We had many good times with Bill & Linda when they lived in Panama City.
