Leecle E. Jones, Sr.
Leecle ‘Lee’ E. Jones Sr, honorably retired US Air Force, of Greenville, preceded in death by his loving wife A. Ann Jones, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, January 10, 2022. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Truman E. & Grace Bishop Jones. Lee was a long-standing member of Adon Olam Messianic Congregation in Piedmont.
Lee is survived by his children, Lee (Josoon Wang) Jones Jr of Greenville, Suzette (David) Frierson of Greenville, MS, Mick Jones of Greenville, and J.J. (Laurie) Jones also of Greenville; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lillie Woodall of Charleston, SC and Louise Greenwood of Loves Park, Il., and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by two sisters Marilyn Counts and Janeen Green.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Dr. David M. Frierson, Sr.
The family will receive friends starting at 10:00 AM prior to the service.
Private Entombment will be in the Greenville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
