Lawrence “ Larry” N. Cook III, 73, of Simpsonville, SC, husband of Renee Forrester Cook, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026. Born in Laurens, SC, he was a son of the late Lawrence N. Cook Jr. and Patricia Cook.

In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by two stepchildren, Jeremy Forrester (Angel) and Joshua Forrester (Candice); three step grandchildren; a brother, David Cook (Sandra); four nieces and nephews, Justin Cook (Lindsey), Lisa Marie Brown (Tracy), David Wilson (Elizabeth), and Micheal Wilson (Jennifer); many great nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Ronnie Wilson; and his best friend, Chad Hand (Kat).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Ann Cook.

Services will be private.

The family expresses their gratitude to the Bon Secours Eastside and Downtown Hospital’s medical staff as well as the McCall Hospice House nurses for their compassionate care.
