Laura Winder Buckner
Laura Winder Buckner died on Monday, November 28, 2016 in Simpsonville. She was born in 1918 in Athens, TN and was married for forty five years to the late Bail R. Buckner. Laura was the daughter the late John Henry Winder, Sr. and the late Ida Belle Cooke Winder.
Laura is survived by her daughter, Malvena Buckner White of Simpsonville; a grandson, Alan L. White (Erica) and a great grandson, Kayden White all of Fountain Inn; and a great niece, with whom she was very close, Hornia Dockins Chrisman.
She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Larry White; twelve brothers and sisters; and quite a few nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Serenity Funeral Home in Etowah, TN. Burial will follow at McMinn Memory Gardens in Athens, TN.
