Joel C. Roper
Joel C. Roper, 80, of Simpsonville, loving husband of Sylvia S. Roper went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 24, 2023.
Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Lewis and Mildred Roper.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Joy Roper-Smith (Gary); grandchildren, Mikalah Smith and Kevan Smith, and a sister Josephine Roper.
A graveside service will be held on August 31, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Standing Springs Baptist Church in Simpsonville, of which he was a member for 55 years.
The family will visit with friends following the service.
The family asks that memorials be made to Standing Springs Baptist Church at 1111 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680 or to a church of one’s choice.
