With heavy hearts, we pronounce the passing of Jeffery C. Knopp of Aberdeen, Maryland, at the age of 64. Jeff passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. 

Born in Harford County, Maryland, Jeff was the son of the late Ernest and Louise Knopp.

Jeff will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Judy Knopp, with whom he shared 33 years of marriage. Everyone who knew Jeff knew Judy, and she always made sure she was by his side. His daughter, Jenn Knopp; was his baby girl, and he made that known, and his brother, Jack Knopp, and his wife Karen. Growing up if Jeff needed help, he was calling on his big brother Jack. Jeff’s family extended to his brother-in-law Brian Easton and sister-in-law Karen Dixon and her family. As well as all of his family and many friends he has made in the last 64 years. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving siblings, Sandy Hicks, Debbie French, Rick Knopp, and Allan Knopp.

Jeff lived life with a smile and had a gift for making people laugh. He never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone, leaving them smiling by the end of it. Known for his quick wit and endless jokes, he had a way of bringing joy to every room he entered.

He loved spending time fishing, cooking out, relaxing with his friends and family, and making memories with his beloved dog, Ellie, and his grand-dog, Grace “Stupid”. He loved his Green Bay Packers and was able to attend a game front row with his daughter for Father’s Day. He loved being the life of the party. He was known for his crazy antics like his famous M&M costume. Jeff had moved to SC to be closer with his daughter Jen and her family and make many more memories. Everyone was surprised he took that leap (he never left MD before) but he was so smitten with the thought of starting a new life with his wife and daughter. Jeff was a talented painter by trade and took great pride in his work, a profession he truly loved. Riding around Harford county he was going to point out a house he custom painted.  

Anyone who shared a meal with Jeff likely heard his signature line to the server: “Can you bring me a bowl of turtle soup—and make it snappy!” It was one of the many jokes that became part of who he was and brought laughter to everyone around him.

More than anything, Jeff will be remembered for his humor, his kind heart, and the love he had for his family and friends. His laughter was contagious, his stories unforgettable, and his presence one that made every gathering brighter. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the smiles he inspired will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
