George O. Nagel

George O. Nagel, 89, of Greer, loving husband of Linda Nagel went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, September 25, 2023.

Born in Queens, New York, he was a son of the late August and Charlotte Nagel.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children; Cathy Painter (David), Laurie Plath (Mark) and Karl Nagel; his grandchildren, Brian Painter, Kristen Luck (Gibson), Michael Plath and Cheryl Douglas (Quart) Great Grandchildren, Natalie Painter, Evie Painter, Eliza Luck, Janie Luck, Charley Douglas, Milo Douglas, Rowan Douglas and Iona Douglas; and brother John Nagel (Nancy).

A memorial service will be held on October 28, 2023, at 2 PM at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd located at 1601 N. Pleasantburg Drive Greenville, SC 29609.

    Such a tremendous loss to you all. George was a very special husband, father, grandfather and friend and he will be terribly missed. He was so proud of every member of his family.
