Evelyn “Gigi” Evans Hamilton, 93, widow of Gerald W. Hamilton, of Simpsonville, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022. Born in Whitmire, SC, she was a daughter of the late William E. and Mary Hayes Evans.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Bill Hamilton; two daughters, Mary H. Hill and Geri E. Hamilton; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her son, Robert Hamilton; a grandson; two great grandsons; and two sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Cannon Byrd Memorial Park in the mausoleum chapel beginning at 9:00 am. Inurnment will follow the service.

Such a wonderful grandmother and quintessential southern lady. It’s such a shame how poorly her living children treated her in the end but she is in a better place now.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. She was my assistant in kindergarten and she was a special friend as well. We had some wonderful times together that I will fondly remember. Rest in peace my dear Evelyn.
