Elizabeth Maxine McGathey
Elizabeth Maxine McGathey, 88, widow of Charles McGathey, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 17, 2020.
Born in NC, she was a daughter of the late Pharm William & Mary Elene Huitt Harkins.
Mrs. McGathey is survived by her daughters, Janice Hudson of Simpsonville, and Deborah Giles of Reidville; grandchildren, Dana Chapman (Tony), Jodi McAlpine (Jason), Gary Dunmoyer, Austin Giles, and Brandi Giles; great-grandchildren, Chason Warner, Donovan Chapman, Courtney Fifchbach, and Colton Riley; and one sister, Wilma Smith.
She was preceded in death by one son, James Harold Dunmoyer.
Debbie and Janice, I’m so sorry to hear about Maxine. She was a sweet lady that I really enjoyed talking with. I had not seen her since we met for lunch at Whitefords several years ago.. Your aunt gave me a phone number for Debbie, but it doesn’t work, I had wanted to give you ladies a call.

So sorry Debbie and Janice and the entire family, she will be missed tremendously. She lived every moment of her life to the fullest and we can only strive to do the same. Proud to have been her daughter in law ..Love and hugs to you all
