Elizabeth “Betty” A. Latta

Elizabeth “Betty” A. Latta, age 72, passed away Thursday, January 31st, 2013. She was born at home in Keene Valley, NY on May 11th, 1940.

She was the daughter of the late Roosevelt and Edith Pulsifer Kilburn.

She is survived by her daughter Edith O’Connor of NY; son George P Latta Sr. and his wife Theresa of Inman; Grandson James Harris Jr. and his wife Shannon, Grandson Wayne Harris and his wife Stephanie, Grandson George Latta II and his wife Patricia; a daughter Donna Burke; sisters Lois Bombard of Lyndonville NY, Faye Sullivan and her husband Rudy of Lewis, N.Y., Anne Mihal of Lake Luzerne, N.Y.; a sister-in-law Margaret Kilburn Peru, N.Y.; brothers Irvin Kilburn and his wife Althea of Cadyville, N.Y. and Philip Kilburn and his wife Linda of Broadalbin,N.Y.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, George G. Latta; brothers Joseph Kilburn and Warren Kilburn; a sister Dawn Loiselle; brother-in-laws William Bombard and Marvin Loiselle.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and was loved by all who knew her.
She was an avid reader and loved children. She was someone everyone could go to for advice or just a shoulder to lean on. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

A family service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home Monday, February 4th at 10:00 am. A casual dinner will be held at 3:30 pm Monday at Betty’s home, 10 N. Humphrey St. Inman, SC 29349 – phone
