Doris Jean Boyer
Doris Jean Boyer, age 83, wife of Ivan Boyer, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016.
Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Jesse L. and Anne Bell Taylor Stroud. Mrs. Boyer was retired from C&T Manufacturing. She was a former member of First Christian Fellowship and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her husband of 60 years, Mrs. Boyer is survived by two daughters, Julia Lynn Wells and Pamela Jean Raines; a son, Earl L. York; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, James Randall York; and a brother, Earl Luther Stroud.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 3:00 PM at the Cannon Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. J.D. Putman with burial to follow in Cannon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Cannon Funeral Home.
