David William Hart
David William Hart, 49, of Sylva, NC, went to be with the Lord on May 18, 2026. Born in Peoria, IL, he was the son of Burl “Topper” and Rebecca Hart.
David loved sports and was an avid Clemson Tigers and Chicago Cubs fan. He graduated from Clemson University in 2000 with a degree in International Marketing. Music was a big part of David’s life and he enjoyed playing guitar and piano. He liked the quote “When words fail, music speaks”. David was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Bridget (Chris) Bailey; nephews, Justin Mann and AJ (Hannah) Bailey; nieces, Megan (Zac) Coggins and Amber Bailey; and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jenny Hart and his grandparents, Burl and Charlotte Hart and Willard and Betty Fields.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 1:00 PM in Cannon-Byrd Memorial Park, 1150 North Main Street, Fountain Inn, SC 29644.

I loved ole Dave. We spent many of hours talking but still done a great job a work! He shared many things with me and the best thing we talked about was him being saved at an early age. We talked about Jesus in many of our conversations. I wish i knew the arrangements yesterday because I sure would have been there today. RIP my friend. Until we meet again.
WOW… I had no idea and could of never guessed this after many nights at work! You will be missed by myself and all your coworkers I’m sure! I had no idea or I would of been there.

Goodness, I did not know. Shocked I worked with David and always enjoyed talking with him. He was a smart guy. Had not spoken with him in a while, always considered him a good friend. RIP David my dear friend. Prayers up for his family and friends. Will miss you my friend.
