David Allen Huber

David Allen Huber, 59, of Simpsonville, SC, husband of Tanya Richardson, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026. Born in Dallas, TX, and “RI” raised in Houston, he was the son of the late Duane and Karen Huber.

In addition to his wife, David is survived by two stepdaughters, Brittany Joyner and her husband, Jeremy Scott, and Bailey Richardson and her husband, Zach Lucas; three grandchildren, Nyna Stultz, Cash Stultz, and Christopher Lucas; a sister, Laura Huber and her husband, Tim Cowhig; a niece and nephew, Natalia and Tyler; his puppy dog, Cocoa; and puddy tat, Patches.

David was a loving husband, stepfather, Grampy, and pet dad. He was an advocate for addiction recovery and would be celebrating 17 years of sobriety and recovery on August 29, 2026. He loved spending time attending 12-step meetings, working in his yard / garden and spending time with family. David loved life and was loved dearly. He will be sorely missed by all who were a part of his life. 

In Honor of David a Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Cannon Byrd Funeral Home – Simpsonville, 313 N. Main St., Simpsonville and will be officiated by Pastor Bryan Cox, the Associate Pastor at Second Chance Church where David and Tanya are both members. The family will receive friends following the service until 4:00 pm.

In Lieu of flowers Tanya would like to ask that donations be made to Solutions Recovery Center, “as there is such a dire need for support”, 520 Lowndes Hill Rd, Greenville, SC 29607.

  2. I am so very proud of the man David had become. He overcame a serious head injury from childhood to become a very productive member of society. He was a loving
    husband, stepfather, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. He will be missed!
