Cathy Marie Bennefield, 69, of Simpsonville, SC, widow of Jeffrey D. Bennefield, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026. Born in Simpsonville, SC, she was a daughter of the late James and Lois Johnson Foster.

Cathy is survived by two siblings, Billy Foster and his wife, Ruth, and Becky Burgess and her husband, Adam; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Russell Foster.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home; 1150 N. Main St, Fountain Inn, SC 29644. Interment will follow in Cannon-Byrd Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home starting at 3:00 p.m.
