Betty Jane Dodd

Betty Jane Dodd, 95, widow of Carlyle Frank Dodd, of Simpsonville, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.  Born in Natchez, MS, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Cecil and Lenorah Lamb Geoghegan.

Betty is survived a daughter, Patricia Gibson (Carl); a son, Kenny Dodd (Brenda); five grandchildren; Lisa Gibson, Carla Williams (Jeff), David C. Dodd (Christina), Michelle Powell (Joel) and Nicole Dodd; and nine great-grandchildren, Austin, Clay, and Kassidy Williams, Aubrie Jones, Carlyle and Leila Dodd, Cody and Stephen Breeding, and Cheyanne Magaha; and seven great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by a daughter, Teressa Bailey.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023, at 10:00 am in the Mausoleum of Graceland East Memorial Park. The service will be conducted by her great grandson Rev. Austin Williams.  The family will visit with friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 123 West Antrim Drive, Greenville, SC  29607.
