Audrey Ormond Francis

Audrey Ormond Francis, 96, peacefully went to be with the Lord on May 29, 2023, after a brief illness.  She had just completed a year at a Skilled Nursing Facility in Mauldin, SC near her son Robert Moller and his family.

Audrey was born August 23, 1926, to Ronald and Sarah Francis in the town of Mt. Royal near Montreal, Canada.  She had one younger brother, David (Norma) Francis, who passed away several years ago.  She finished at Mt. Royal High School and went on to McGill University for a degree in music.  Audrey was an outstanding pianist and throughout her life played for all types of occasions whenever music was needed in addition to teaching numerous students to play the piano.  Her home was always full of beautiful piano music of all kinds and Christmas carol sing-a-longs each year.

Audrey married Paul Moller, a graduate in Civil Engineering at McGill University in 1951 and they came to the United States, eventually becoming U.S. citizens.  They had 3 children, the oldest son, Robert (Anna): children Sarah (Scott) Clark, Jessica (Daniel) Patton, Olivia (Rich) Hamlin, and Lisa Batalla; a daughter, Wendy Baty: children Vanessa (Chad) Crosby, Angela Baty, and Nathan (Bobbi) Baty and their youngest son, David (Michael) Moller whose son is Stephen Moller.  They lived in many places including Chicago, Phoenix, Denver and Connecticut, then retired in Florida.  Audrey moved to Minnesota and finally South Carolina to be near her childrens’ families.  She had 8 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, the most recent great-grand-son born on May 10th.

Audrey was an active member of several Christian churches over the years, often providing music for the services.  She professed faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior and rested in Him to the very end of her life on earth.  We trust Audrey is joyfully in His presence and that He will comfort those of us who are missing her today.

A memorial service is yet to be announced.
