Alvin George Steading, 91, of Mauldin, widower of Nancy Martin Steading, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, July 20, 2026.
Born in Spartanburg County, Mr. Steading was the son of the late William & Mamie Elder Steading.
He is survived by one son, Craig Steading (Teresa); one stepson, Ken Turner (Lynn); a granddaughter, Tabitha Steading; and one brother, Frank Steading.
Mr. Steading was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Bayne; and two brothers, Dewey & Clarence Steading.
Services will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Cross Roads Baptist Church, 705 Anderson Ridge Rd, Greer, SC 29651. Visitation will be held from 9:45 am – 10:30 am. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
