William Scott Massey, Jr.
William “Bill” S. Massey Jr., 76, of Greenville, husband of Diana Waldrep Massey, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015.
Mr. Massey was a son of the late William Scott Massey Sr. and Francis Ball Massey.
Mr. Massey taught music, math and computer science for 30 years throughout the Greenville County School System and 11 years at the Lifelong Learning Center.
In addition to his wife, Diana, he is survived by four daughters, Christine Davis and her husband, Jimmy, of Texas, Michelle Amador and her husband, Fed, of Simpsonville, Dede Case and her husband, Randall, of Spartanburg, and Suzanne Terry and her, husband, Will of Greenville; three sons, Scott Massey and his wife, Donna, of Tennessee, Steve Massey and his wife, Sara, of Idaho, and Chan Franklin and his wife, Kerry, of Newberry; and nineteen grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Tom Massey.
A private graveside service for the children and grandchildren will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015 in the Taylors First Baptist Church Cemetery prior to the service.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 3, 2015 in the Chapel at Taylors First Baptist Church with Craig O’Dell officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
