William “Bill” Ted Tumblin, Jr.
Bill Tumblin, 64, of Simpsonville, SC, husband of Kate Babb Tumblin, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021.
Born in Greenville, SC, April 5, 1957, he was the son of Carolyn Tumblin Abbott and the late William Ted Tumblin.
Bill attended Clemson University where he received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in 1979. He was a member of Fountain Inn Presbyterian Church, where he served as an Elder.
He is survived by his wife and their children, Chip Tumblin (Beth) of Brentwood, TN, Beth Hollingsworth (Drew) of Marvin, NC, and Laura Elhage (Sharbel) of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren, Riley and Evan Tumblin, Will and Mary Collins Hollingsworth, and Molly Elhage; one brother, Wendell Tumblin (Lynn); and one sister, June Rojas Tumblin.
He will be remembered by the love he had for his family and friends, especially his children and grandchildren, his passion for teaching the High School Sunday School class, and his love of Clemson University.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 11:00 am in Cannon-Byrd Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Fountain Inn Presbyterian Church, Youth Ministry, P.O. Box 337 Fountain Inn, SC 29644.

Bill will surely be missed. They just don’t make real men like Bill Tumblin. So sorry you will no longer get to see him on this earth, but in our heavenly home will all be reunited . Love to your entire family.

Cliff and I were so sad to hear of Bill’s passing. He was a terrific guy all the way around from the softball days, to church outings, events and leadership. He will be missed terribly by his family and friends. We are lifting prayers for your family. Love, Janet & Cliff

Deeply saddened by the loss of Bill, He was a great guy. I have many fond memories of his kindness. Wishing you everything you need to get through this difficult time.
So sorry to hear about the loss of Billy! He was always such a kind loving person! So sorry you have to be going thru this! All of you will be in my prayers!

I just found out about Bill’s passing and my heart aches for you all. I know he has received the fullness of the Joy of his Salvation but those lives he touched here on earth will truly mourn. May God’s hands be upon you all and may legions of Heavenly Angels surround and lift you up during this season of mourning. Again, my love to you all.
