Virginia Dale German

Virginia Dale German, 72, widow of William Cecil German, of Simpsonville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, January 12, 2019. Born in Gray Court, she was the daughter of the late Ellis Carol Templeton and the late Allie Della Gillespy Templeton.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Tammy Ables and her husband, Jim, of Simpsonville; her son, Tony Morgan and his wife, Sherri, of Enoree; Eight grandchildren, Megan Graydon, Scottie Holtzclaw, Jamie Hawkins, Christopher Morgan, D.J. Morgan, Kyle Morgan, Morgan Durrance, and Will Durrance; two great grandchildren, Hunter Holtzclaw and Maysen Morgan; and three sisters, Louise Suttles, Pauline Eassy, and Janelle Collopy.
In addition to her husband and parents, Virginia was preceded in death by two sons, Dale Morgan and Chris Morgan; and a sister, Shirley Grubbs.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 in the chapel of Cannon Funeral Home beginning at 3:00 pm. A visitation will begin prior to the service at 1:30 pm at Cannon Funeral Home. Interment will be at Cannon Memorial Park following the service.

Flowers are welcome, but you may also make a memorial contribution to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.

  • Virginia was a sweetie to me always. As a child I remember her foundly and as a adult. Our ride back from Myrtle Beach was dear to me. She will be missed. God bless you all.

  • Most of my childhood and adult years had Aunt Virginia in them.
    Momma and Aunt Virginia loved hanging out together…….
    I have many fond memories I will always hold close.
    I’m so sorry for this sad time you all are going through, and prayer you find peace in knowing that boy Oh boy the rejoicing they are doing in heaven, welcoming Aunt Virginia!!!
