Vera Cooper Riddle
Vera Cooper Riddle, 98, of Gray Court, widow of Paul Riddle, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.
Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth & Nellie Cooper. She was a faithful member of Highland Home Baptist Church in Gray Court.
Mrs. Riddle is survived by her children, Linda Smallwood (Oneal) of Fountain Inn, Paula Shealy of Laurens, Anne Lawrence (Walter) of Gray Court, Wayne Riddle (Sherry) of Gray Court, Nancy McCall (Marty) of Ninety Six, a son-in-law, Lewis Abercrombie of Laurens; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Riddle was preceded in death by a daughter, Emily Abercrombie; and one grandson, Marty Lawrence.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Welcome Baptist Church, 1825 Hwy 14, Laurens, SC 29360 officiated by Rev. Billy Cathcart and Michael Hamilton.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Mrs. Smallwood (Oneal) and the rest of the family of Mrs Riddle, so sorry to hear of you, loosing you mother. I know that there is much sadness in your hearts. I will have each of you in my thoughts and prayers. My GOD hold you steadfast in HIs loving arms, Your friend in Christ.
Anne, Christy and Ashley I am truly sorry for your loss. Ms. Vera was one of a kind. She always put a smile on my face. I know she will be missed by all that knew her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all🙏🙏🙏
