Ursa Mae Pichierre

Loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend…

Ursa Mae Pichierre was born December 20, 1941 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Currently lived in Simpsonville, SC where she passed peacefully at her home on Saturday, March 19, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Mae Pichierre; her granddaughter, Jade Elizabeth Pichierre; and her brother, James Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Louis Pichierre; and her brothers, Dwight Thomas, Raymond Reece Thomas, John R Thomas Jr. and Kenny Thomas.

She is the daughter of the late John R Thomas Sr. and Stella Mae Williams Thomas.

Ursa retired from Kemet Electronics at age 62; thereafter, she had an 18-year journey as a homemaker. She took baking classes to specialize in cakes and candies. She loved working in the flower garden and making the yard beautiful, she also made beautiful quilts in her free time. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church Simpsonville, where she had wonderful friends and church family.

Trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your path straight. Proverbs 3: 5-6  

The Celebration of her life will be on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 11:00 am Graveside in Cannon-Byrd Memorial Park, 1150 N Main St, Fountain Inn, SC 29644.

    Mrs. Ursa was such a cute and loveable person. She had a heart of gold! We sure will miss going to visit her and talking to her. She was so helpful when my father passed away. She would call my mom almost every day to check on her. Let me tell you, that helped my mom soooo much!! Thank you for helping my mom Mrs Ursa in heaven!!
