Scott Chaffee
Scott Chaffee, 56, of Simpsonville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 24, 2022.
Born in Endicott, NY, Scott was the son of Melba Holden Chaffee-Friesen and the late Douglas Stewart Chaffee. He was a 1987 graduate of Bob Jones University and a member of Grace Church in Greenville.
Scott is survived by his mom, Melba Holden Chaffee-Friesen; and his two sons, Holden Chaffee and Stewart Chaffee.
Scott loved spending time with his family and friends. His two sons were his heart. He enjoyed spending time with them and watching them play football and video games. He loved his mother dearly – spending time over meals and playing games. His loving and giving heart was his testimony to his friends. As any of Scott’s friends would testify, his loyalty, unconditional love and giving nature made for a lifelong friendship.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Horizon Presbyterian Church, Greenville, SC with Sr. Pastor Joe Franks officiating. Interment will follow in Cannon – Byrd Memorial Park in Fountain Inn.
The family will receive friends at the church starting at 1:30 pm.
Following the internment the family of David and Cheri Burress will receive guests at their home in Simpsonville, SC.
Scott’s Funeral Service will be streamed live by going to Horizonchurch.org and click on the “LIVE STREAM” button.
My heart is broken for Scott’s mom and his boys. I cannot imagine the level of grief with his sudden passing. You all will be in my prayers in the coming weeks and months, as well as for the many friends who loved him and no doubt feel such a great loss. I’m grateful we have the hope of seeing him again someday soon.
