Sarah Hughes Douglas
Our mama struggled with dementia for over 20 years, and was bedridden, silent, and unaware of who we were for the last three years. She now has been gloriously healed and is walking, talking, and singing with her Jesus. Mama was truly a Proverbs 31 mother.
Sarah H. Douglas, 88, of Fountain Inn, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, October 20, 2022. She passed peacefully with her three loving daughters by her side.
Born in Gray Court, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Robert & Sally Worthy Hughes.
Mrs. Douglas is survived by her three daughters, Kay D. Barron (Ronald), Gail D. Gurley (Dave), and Lynn D. Haughwout (Rick); a granddaughter, Brittany Dawkins (Nic); three great-grandchildren, Cole Dawkins, Grayson Dawkins, and Reid Dawkins; one sister, Mary Jane Hughes; and three brothers, Bobby, Bill, and Paul Hughes.
She was preceded in death by one brother and six sisters.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 24, 2022 starting at 1:00 pm at Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home Fountain Inn.
The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Entombment will be in the Cannon-Byrd Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: Church of God Home for Children at PO Box 430, Mauldin SC 29662.
