Ruby Fletcher Cunningham
Ruby F. Cunningham, 94, widow of George William Cunningham, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017. Born in Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Walter John Fletcher and the late Josie Lucas Fletcher. Mrs. Cunningham was a homemaker and long-time member of First Baptist Simpsonville and a strong supporter of the missions program.
Mrs. Cunningham is survived by three daughters, Ruby Coker of Greenville, Bitsy Castillow and her husband, Bob, of Taylors, and Terry Osgood and her husband, Charles, of North Carolina; 7 grandchildren, Pam McClinton and her husband, Andy, of Ninety Six, Michael Long and his wife, Theresa, of Easley, Stephen Long of Simpsonville, Deana Simpson of Simpsonville, Bambi Crumley and her husband, Tim, of Simpsonville, Leanne Haskins and her fiancé, Adam, of North Carolina, and Melissa Woodruff and her husband, Kenny, of North Carolina; 4 great-grandchildren, Courtney Wood and her husband, Luke, of Easley, Carsen Long of Salem, Hazel and Maddox Woodruff, both of North Carolina; 3 sisters, Bobbie Veach and her husband, Paul, of Alabama, Nelle Smedley and her husband, Robert, of Alabama, and Margaret Greer and her husband, Junior, of Florida.
In additional to her parents and husband, Mrs. Cunningham was preceded in death by a son George William Cunningham, Jr.; four sisters; and one brother.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Heritage Funeral Home at 12:00 PM. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to First Baptist Simpsonville Missions Fund, 3 Hedge Street, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
