Roy Burns

Roy Burns, 92, of Simpsonville passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013. He was the husband of the late Edna Thackston Burns and the son of the late Oliver Burns and the late Mary Radford Burns.

Roy was retired from the textile industry where he worked for Simpsonville Mills. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by two sons; Mitchel Burns of Simpsonville and Bobby Burns and wife Rita of Simpsonville; one son-in-law, Stan Chandler; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother.

He was preceded in death by one daughter Eugenia Chandler; two sisters and three brothers.

The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Graceland East Cemetery.
