Paul Hugh Bullington

Paul Hugh Bullington, 62, of Greenville, husband of Starr Marie Bullington, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.

Born in Union, SC, Paul was the son of the late William Bullington and Betty Moore Bullington. Paul’s family moved a few times before settling in Greenville, and he graduated from Woodmont High School in 1973. Paul was a good Christian man and a member of Brookwood Community Church. He had a heart of gold and loved doing for others. Paul enjoyed running and was able to complete the Boston Marathon at the age of forty. He also loved animals and would often return with a stray dog after a run in the neighborhood. Paul’s wife, Starr, describes him as her hero, best friend, and the best husband in the world.

In addition to his wife and mother, Paul is survived by his daughter, Margaret “Meg” Bullington Taylor and her husband David of Inman; a step-daughter, Hillary Elliott and her husband Ford of Simpsonville; a step-son, Timothy Uphold and his wife Jennifer of Simpsonville; a brother, David Bullington and his wife Jaye of Albuquerque, NM; two sisters, Teresa O’Neill of Greenville, and Deborah Marsh of Travelers Rest; 5 grandchildren, Ethan Cole Bullington of Greenville, and Jolie Claire Elliott, Wells Ford Elliott, Crew James Elliott, and Sean Allen Uphold all of Simpsonville; a niece, Tracy Bullington of Washington, DC; two nephews Corey O’Neill of Charleston and Justin Marsh of Travelers Rest.
