Michael Joseph “Pop Pop” Grant

Michael Joseph “Pop Pop” Grant, age 62, husband of Helen O’Brien Grant, of 109 Tankersley Drive, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011 at his home.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was a son of the late John Grant and Marie Christine Henniger. Mr. Grant was retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years of service and also was an aircraft mechanic with Lockheed for 20 years. He was a Den Leader with the Cub Scouts and was a volunteer with Mauldin Little League
.
In addition to his wife of 42 years, Mr. Grant is survived by two daughters, Cindy Marie Capps of Simpsonville, and Valerie Ann Grindstaff and husband Thomas of Greenville; four grandchildren, Alissa, Cailey, Ryan, and Tyler; and a step-sister, Karen Henniger of New Jersey.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 7:00 pm at the Cannon Funeral Home Chapel, 1150 North Main Street, Fountain Inn. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm prior to the service at Cannon Funeral Home.
