Mary Long Collins
Mary Long Collins, 77, widow of Walter Till Collins, of Simpsonville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, September 3, 2023. Born in Woodruff, she was a daughter of the late Andy James and Allie B Cooper Long.
Mary enjoyed reading, gardening, and relaxing on her porch. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grands and great grands.
Mary is survived by one daughter, Kimberly (Doug) Robinson, Simpsonville, SC; son Rev. Jamey (Paula) Collins, Conway, SC; five grandchildren, Krystal (Dustin) Manwaring, Joshua (Shealy) Robinson, Noah Collins, Nickolas Collins, Cooper Collins; four great-grandchildren; and her brother, Samuel Long.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Pearson and Sarah Stewart; and a brother, Johnny Long.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the Cannon-Byrd Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in the Cannon-Byrd Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will visit with friends following the entombment.

Kim, Jamey, family, My heart is broken I feel like I have lost a member of my own family, Mary was the epitome of what I call a friend more than a friend she was a wife to my best friend, a mother grandmother and a sister in Christ words fail me to describe how much she and Till meant to me.
