Marcello Alonso Lopez
Marcello Alonso Lopez, 26, of Simpsonville, passed away doing what he loved on Thursday, March 21, 2024.
Born in Greenville, Marcello is survived and loved fiercely by parents Beatriz and Luis Lopez and siblings, George Lopez (Natalie), Michelle Acevedo (Alejandro), and Lorenzo Lopez; and his long-time girlfriend, Jessica Morales.
He found his passion in the Auto Mechanic Industry. With his gifted hands and the love of machinery, Marcello continued to fix cars and immerse himself into a whole community. More recently he was very proud of his accomplishments. His tenacity to stick with challenging activities was admirable.
Marcello was a sweet compassionate person and an unrelenting advocate for being who you are and doing what you want. Loud, funny, intelligent, elegant. If you needed him, he was there. He had a remarkable ability to connect with people, share himself and evoke that same spirit of love in each person he knew.
There is so much more that should be said, but in the end, what he did was make our world brighter. He made an instant impact on everyone who met him and on thousands who never will. You will forever remain in our hearts, we love and miss you, Marstinky.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 starting at 1:00 pm at Cannon Byrd Funeral Home, 1150 N. Main St., Fountain Inn, SC.
A Celebration of Life and Memorial Service will start at 2:30 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment in the Cannon Byrd Memorial Park mausoleum will follow the service.

Marcello was like an adopted son to us, he and our son Noah grew up together. He spent alot of time at our house, went on family vacations and was such a bright light in this world. He lit up the room with that contagious smile and positive energy.
Thank you for raising such a compassionate, caring and amazing young man! You should be proud of the legacy that he left in the short time he was here.

We are so Heartbroken for The Lopez Family and All that knew Him! Matthew and Marcello meet in their Junior year of high school. They spent lots of Great Times together. We had the privilege to spend some time with him also! He was a Great friend to Matthew and he will be so so Truly Miss!! We are so sorry for your Loss of your Beautiful Son! Hardworking , selfless, kind, funny, cunning , and so much more. He always brightened the mood and kept positivity no matter the situation. So passionate about his work and eager to lend a helping hand no matter what. Love and miss you brother until next time!
