Kelly Gray Nabors

Kelly Gray Nabors, 55, of Gray Court passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023.  Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Alvin A. and Patricia “Patsy” Gray Nabors.

Kelly is survived by his sister, Debby Gaffney and her husband Butch of Rock Hill; numerous nieces and nephews; and his good friend, Tyler Boyes of Gray Court.

In addition to his parents, Kelly was preceded in death by a brother, Roddy A. Nabors and a sister, Laura N. Moody.

A memorial service will be held in the future.  Details will be made available when finalized.

      Wow! Hard to believe. Kelly was a great friend back in the day. Lots of fun times. Basketball, Braves games just to name a couple. RIP my friend. I take comfort in knowing that it will be “raining 3s” somewhere in Heaven tonight.

    Kelly and I started first grade together at Pleasant View and graduated together. He was always kind, respectful, and could make us all laugh. My husband, Steve, and he played basketball together at Laurens. Kelly was a good teammate.

    We were saddened to learn of Kelly’s passing. We have wonderful memories of Kelly from our days of owning Rolling S Golf Club. Kelly loved to play in the dogfights with all of his Rolling S friends. He was a good man who will be missed.

    I worked with Kelly in Chester along with Randall Waldrup back in the early 90’s and then in Simpsonville for about 10 years. Good days past. He always put a smile on my face. Prayers for his family.
