Julius Martin Bridges, Sr.

Julius Martin Bridges, Sr., 79, husband of Nellie Fay Bridges, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 26, 2019. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Julius Beauford Bridges and the late Annie Mae Butler Bridges. Mr. Bridges retired as a Heating and Air Supervisor for Wilson Sporting Goods and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Bridges is survived by four sons, Mark Bridges and his wife, Patricia, of Gray Court, Greg Bridges of Simpsonville, Phillip Bridges of Simpsonville, and Joey Bridges and his wife, Brittany, of Gray Court; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and more on the way; two sisters, Betty Lou Landers and Patsy Barbrey, both of Simpsonville; two brothers, William Bridges of Anderson and Clyde Bridges of Greer.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bridges was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Smith, and his brother, Johnny “Rock” Bridges.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Mausoleum Chapel at Cannon Memorial Park on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 beginning at 2:00 pm.
