Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ Moore Garrett
Jackie Garrett, 70, of Fountain Inn, wife of Preston E. Garrett, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, November 27, 2023 surrounded by her husband and daughters.
Mrs. Garrett was the only child, born September 10, 1953 in Cowpens, SC, to the late John G. & Elaine O’Shields Moore. She was a member of Fairview Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her husband, Preston, she is survived by their children, Peden Styles (Paul), Casey Bagwell (Tres), Robin Thackston (Kurt), Kristin Tripp (Thomas), and Katie Benninger (Bobby); and fifteen grandchildren, Hunter (Savannah), P.T., and Emily Styles, McKinley and Crayton Bagwell, Haley, Anna, and James Thackston, Grace, Audrey, Wyatt, and Baby Tripp, Ian, Evelyn, and Cullen Benninger. In addition, she deeply loved her poodle, Bridget, Maternal Aunts, Martha & Shirley, and best friend and long-time companion Cindy Jenkins.
Mrs. Garrett was preceded in death by her beloved maternal aunts and uncles, her great-niece, Rachel Anderson McDannald; and two brothers-in-law, Jack W.B. McDannald, and William Gordon Garrett.
A Committal Service officiated by Associate Pastor Kenneth C. Maple, and private interment will be held for the family in the Fairview Presbyterian Church Cemetery prior to the church service.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 12:00 pm at Fairview Presbyterian Church with Pastor Jonathan R. Williams officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: Fairview Presbyterian Church Missions, 126 Fairview Church Rd., Fountain Inn, SC 29644.
