Helen Muller Cassell

Helen Muller Cassell, 91, of Simpsonville, widow of Kenneth Luther Cassell, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 24, 2023.

Born in Greenwood, Mrs. Cassell was a daughter of the late Frank & Gathie Chandler Muller. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church Simpsonville.

Helen was a sweet southern lady, often soft spoken, but still always made sure her opinion was heard. She enjoyed playing board games and card games with friends and family. She would light up when telling you a story about her grandchildren or great-grandchildren. She was a hard worker, whether she was working in the manufacturing plants, at home raising her children, or taking care of her home with her loving husband, she made sure everything was done right. She, along with her husband, was an incredible singer. She loved playing the piano and organ, especially with her sister Joan. She cherished gospel music and the word of the Lord. We know she is happy to be reunited with her Lord and Savior and her dear husband Ken. Those who knew her will miss her sweet laugh and kind words.

Mrs. Cassell is survived by her children, Wanda Reece (DeWayne) of Clyde, NC, Stan Cassell (Debra) of Pendleton, Donna Hendershot (Jim) of Piedmont, and Jan Milosek (Doug) of Simpsonville; eight grandchildren, Scott Reece (Donna), Andrew Cassell, Brooke Barnette, Amanda Nichols, Tristen Reece, Jayme Stukas (DJ), Greg Hendershot, and Traci Kennedy (Calhoun); eleven great-grandchildren, Amber, Peyton, Eric, Chase, Jadon, Lindzie, Shyla, Olivia, Addy Grace, Avery, and Andy Jr; and one sister, Joan Mauldin.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward & Wendell Muller.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 12:00 pm in the Heritage Chapel of Cannon Byrd Funeral Home – Simpsonville. Entombment will follow in the Graceland East Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home starting at 11:00 am.

Flowers are welcome or memorial donations may be made to: Foothills Hospice, 390 Keowee School Road, Seneca, SC 29672.
